Bath's new local currency!

13 Mar 2011

The Economy Group announces the launch of Bath LETS's new local currency the Bath Oliver. Monday the 21st March kicks off at 12 with a media launch at the Chapel Arts Centre (opposite the Lamb and Lion); we'll be giving away free money to the sounds of the Blues Brothers Tribute Band. Everyone who turns up will receive a brand new 10 Oliver note and 5 ones to spend in our participating businesses and with the other members of the scheme.

The celebration continues in The Bell pub in Walcot Street at 7pm, again with the opportunity to get your hands on some Olivers, spend them behind the bar, listen to some music and celebrate this amazing day for people power and local economics.

You can sign up and find participating businesses at http://transitionbath.us1.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=b9540d69d74e8049d8dc61eab&id=ac6abd5896&e=0f56b8a7ce or sign up on the day for free!
