Transition Bath had its first AGM as a charity on 6th September. The event was a relaxed affair and the minutes of the meeting along with the accounts can be downloaded via the links below.
The evening also saw the prestigious award of Hero of Transition, which is given to those who have given outstanding support over the year, being presented to: Virginia Williamson for her work with the Food Group and Bath allotments; Iva Carrdus for work with the Transition Talks and Vegmead; and Peter Andrews for his continued commitment and work to support Transition Bath as the incumbent chair of Trustees and as one of the founding members of Transition Bath.
The second part of the AGM was to allow for a reflective space to celebrate the so far and look towards to the future. Over drinks and cake we explored these ideas whilst taking the time to just pause and learn more about each other.
Reflecting on the year it seem the talks were a huge success with many people regarding this as a highlight of the year, as well as the growing initiatives across Bath, that seem to have allowed people to blossom too.
Looking forward to the future a number of suggestions and ideas of what people would love to see where put forward. This included an eco book group (see facebook for further details), a knowledge base to allow for more sharing (watch this space this is already in motion), a community café (something we are all passionate about) and more ideas on community growing and communal spaces.
